Lovely mince beef meal for the whole family.
- 500 grams of lean mince beef
- 6-8 large potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup of peas (frozen or fresh are fine)
- 1 carrot
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- gluten free breadcrumbs
- 3 teaspoon of curry powder
Pre heat oven to 200 C
Dice onion and garlic, fry until lightly browned, add paprika and fry for another minute. Add mince beef and cook until browned.
Dice tomatoes, peel and dice carrots. Add tomatoes, peas and carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.
Peel and chop potatoes. Place potatoes in a saucepan and cover in cold water, boil water and allow potatoes to simmer for 15 minutes or until soft. Drain and mash potatoes, add a little milk and margarine if desired.
Place mince mixture in a deep oven proof dish and spread evenly. Layer mashed potato over the mince and spread evenly.
Grate cheese and combine with gluten free breadcrumbs. Spinkle over the potato and bake on 200 C for 20 minutes or until brown and crispy.
