These chain restaurants offer gluten free options and can be found in most major cities.
- Muffin Break – Usually have a choice of two or three different types of gluten free muffins both savory and sweet.
- Wagamamas – Will cook you up a gluten free meal and most stores offer gluten free soy sauce on request.
- Nandos – Have a couple of items on their menu listed as gluten free.
- Dominos – Gluten free pizza bases, and pretty good knowledge of which topping may contain gluten.
- Lord of the Fries – gluten free chips and nuggets, currently not offering GF burgers.
Seeking list of cafe’s/restaurants in Tasmania’s Noeth-West coast & Launceston who may specialize in gluten free food, it would make touring so much more simple. Janet
Hi Janet,
I have heard great things about ‘Elm Tree cafe’ on Cimitiere st in Launceston.
Check out this link for more restaurants that offer gluten free:

And as always, I suggest finding accommodation with a kitchen so that you can prepare your own meals if you need to.
Happy travels!
Don’t Forget Grill’d Burgers… they have yummy fresh GF hamburgers and they are on the way to becoming a national chain… mainly Melbourne and SE QLD at the moment!
I live in Balmain, Sydney. We are extremely lucky to have a supermarket/cafe that specializes in gluten free food & even sell their own name products. “About Life” is a superb outlet of gluten free foods & is big enough to stock quality goods. I feel blessed to have this store available to me. They have cooking nights etc.
Lord of the Fries have gluten free burgers back in stock now, they’re only in the regular size but at least they’re back!! =)
